Sunday 22nd, Part Two

This was the weather that was building up. Because we had a strong tailwind, we had good hope to evade the storm by running out on it.
Steve took over, so after six hours flying I could relax a bit.

But when the turbulence got hold of us, we went down quite low to be able to land as quick as possible if necessary.

We couldn't have done what we did if Steve didn't have his Garmin 496 available: with almost actual weather information.
Here one can see how we maneuvred between the built ups.

After a battle of two hours we came in smooth air again: at 22.45 we landed at Noah's Ark, Steves homefield, just South of Kansas City International Airport. We unloaded the plane, and rode to Steves house, after getting ourselves some burger on the way.
The last leg set a new record for Steve (and me): 5 hours and 35 minutes from Laramie to KC. And we felt great!
