July 5th, continued: the Rocky Mountains!

So we drove off in 'our' JEEP, to the Rocky Mountains. Where ever you go, go Texaco!
After finding a good lodging with internet access (Super8), we had a fantastic breaklunch at the BlueBird Cafe near the Colorado State University.

Besides the wellknown chain restaurants we try to find local cafe's, and also this time we were rewarded. Poached eggs, bacon! No need to say more. Friendly service, yes we will be back.

Also we met a lady who proudly wore an Amsterdam T-shirt. With her and her friend we shared tips how to spend our short stay in Colorado as effective and joyful as possible. With her friend we shared our compassion for SuperCubs. She had ridden many a journey counting wolves and bears in one, in the Canadian outback.

Then off we drove: to the mountains. And soon we saw the Poudre River. And we had fun seeing the people shout and be excited while they were rafting down the stream. There will be a treat tomorrow: Joop, my son, will be arriving in Fort Collins tonight and we hope to have breakfast with him before he departs for Boulder, where he will be doing a Buddhist seminar.
